Phuket and Singapore
Had the good fortune to go on vacation in August. Our original plan to visit istanbul was foiled
cuz of the unusually high hotel prices and the unexpected bombings all around turkey.
Instead we decided to go back to singapore and take a short trip to Phuket instead.
It was't a dissapointment at all!
Gilles and I visited the small islands of Phuket, picture above was taken in James bond island.
Snorkelling was one of the highlights of this trip. Since it was my virgin sea diving experience, i was scared out of my wits. Leos are land animals , we find anything with a tail for swimming highly disgusting.
Nevertheless i overcame my feeling of grostesque and was soon found frolicking in the crystal clear waters around the beautiful islands and i even begin to love the fishes.
There were schools of them coming at me. The variety was endless some were really colorful.
They come in all shapes and sizes with various neon flashes of bright colors.
The ocean starts to amaze me! We even got to the place where baby sharks lurk some 100 metres away from the coast and i spoted 2 baby sharks. Gilles being the braver one got on further and saw 3 baby sharks. The guide told us that to see em we have to keep our movements to a minimum and to swim alone.
