I have a new rabbit! Her name is minibu, she resides on my bedside desk constantly blinking purple lights. There are lights on her belly, on her nose , and her ears move everytime someone sends her a message.
You can send her a song, a message, and she will read them out to me.
to send a message in different voices, go to http://www.nabaztag.com
Otherwise for simple messages,I have managed to set up a lil box on my right menu for you to send minibu messages. However, currently it is only possible to send her messages in french ,even if you type it in english it will read it in french. 'Hello' is ok though =) minibu and i hopes to hear from you soon! lurrrvvvv

Abu Dhabi & Uganda

Ok i know they are not related even remotely but since i have no pics of uganda i thought i'll feed you with snapshots i tucked away in my hard-drive of Abu dhabi.

KAMPALA, UGANDA
To update everyone who comes here occasionally, I'm back to flying. Ankle still hurts a little but dr reckons it'll be another 6-8 weeks before i completely forget about the pain.
So she sent me on my first flight on the 12th, to Entebbe airport in Uganda. It was really a nice change from the stream of london flights i constantly get. So despite some misgivings i had about going to a place i know entirely not of, i welcome it. We stayed in Kampala, which is the capital of Uganda.
Along the way we passed rows of zinc-cladded shops markets and african urban-life sights.
What stood out the most were the colors.( again im all about the colors) The endless piles of bananas were bright green and women chose to wear brightly neon red, orange, green, yellow. the mud was a bright brown and the sky a clear blue. Put these all together and u get a perfect picture.
Why did they choose these colors? Do they know they are going to be in a picture?
What gave the ugandians the preference of wearing these neon colors? They combine them perfectly well too! I must admit their sense of color coordination is superb.
next to the market was a low two-storey shop house in construction and even the house was painted tastefully, the pillars were a shade of red i never saw before, it was bright red with orange undertones the horizontal planes cutting across were grey and the side of the house was bright yellow. It just compliments the clothing of the women passing by the bananas of the market next door. Everything!
I must get a least one of these shots i thought to myself as i struggle to keep my eyes open in the bumpy bus. You see, i didnt sleep much. Maybe it was the excitement of going back to work again, the worry of another plausible incident happening, I dont know what it is. but i hardly caught any shut-eye the night before. doest help that i had to wake up at 4 am.
Naturally when i got to the hotel i was zombified. But i did try, carpeteers, the sense of adventure in me kicked me hard on my butt and i found myself waiting patiently at the concierge counter, enquring about possible tour arrangements that could be made.
we got to the hotel at 5 so the only option was to wait for the morning after, even then there were difficulties. the game reserves and nature spots were located one hour away by car.
Time just doesnt seem to be on my side. In the end nothing worked out so i stayed, tame and dissappointed in my room. Even going for a walk to the markets proved difficult =(
On the way back however i caught sight of a bare tree 3 metres away from our bus with large nests and 5 or 6 huge birds. And i mean HUGE. They were vulture-like birds that fed on bones. One of em swoopped across the front of our bus to a grass patch on the other side. It was awe-inspiringly large. The largest flying bird ive seen in my life. Any bigger it will be an ostrich and an ostrich doesnt even fly. how i wished i took a photo of it. Well next time.

ABU DHABI

These are taken while walking along the corniche at sunset. I was on my way to a art supply and bookshop and i passed these architectural delights. One's an old school mosque, the other's an old school building where the art and book shop resides.

Love Feet & new domain

Picture taken few days before Xmas, Gilles stay near the water so there's really a nice
park where we can take nice strolls especially in this weather! the winds are sometimes
chilly but i love how its breezy and cool throughout the day. This beats the sweltering dubai heat in summer anytime!
I got a new domain too! Bought it just last night, havent put up anything on it yet though
but im so excited! will need some lessons on how to build a website. Any advices for a newbie like me?
